Smooch
Meet Smooch! This amazing dog has survived a lot in his short life time. Found tied up with wounds consistent with being used as a bait dog, he is the picture of forgiveness. Smooch adores the human touch, he lives simply to be loved (and to love in return). He is 2 years old and his physical wounds have healed now. He is ready to experience the best life has to offer, and forget about his past. This boy does not hold a grudge, he just wants to give kisses (hence his name) and be your spoiled baby boy. Smooch would like to be the only pet in his new home.

Gracie
Gracie is a gorgeous 18 month old Pit Bull/Boxer mix, rescued off a chain. She is sweet, forgiving and tenderhearted. She wants nothing more than to be loved. She is truly a wonderful, sweet spirit ready to be the most loyal pet for the family that welcomes her in. She would do best as either the only dog in her new home or with a large male dog. Children over age 10 would be fine for her.

Beau
Meet Beau! Beau is a beautiful blue brindle 3 yr old, 71 lb boy who loves everyone he meets! Beau is super squishy and loves to have his belly rubbed! Though Beau is a big boy, he is SUCH a baby and really loves attention from his human friends. This guy is very funny - he sometimes whines when he wants to play and thinks he is a lap dog! His stunning good looks, combined with his loyal personality makes Beau one of a kind. Beau would like to be the only pet in his new home and would do best in a home with an experienced bully owner.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, that may be true. Look at Seven now, just beautiful and loving life. This is a very different dog from back in February when we picked her up off the street in Bridgeport, bleeding, emaciated and with serious injuries, including two broken legs. She had been left to die and people were seen kicking the cardboard box she lay in.
We weren't sure that she would make it through the night or that she would ever be able to run and jump and enjoy life in a deserving home. But, Seven is a survivor. With a lot of help from her doctors and love from her foster family, Seven has recovered and blossomed into a beautiful young girl who loves to run like a Greyhound. At just 45 pounds, she is petite and sweet.
Seven has come such a very long way. She is a sweet, happy dog now. Her physical scars have healed and her emotional ones are healing too. Seven likes to be with people and would prefer a home where she can receive a lot of attention. Seven is just under a year old. She is full of energy and likes other dogs. Seven has been through so much now she just wants a soft place to be - a place to call home, forever. |
Meet Carter. He is a beautiful blue eyed boy looking for a forever home! One smile and he'll win your heart in an instant. Carter is as sweet as sugar, and loves to be pet and loved. He enjoys playtime in the park, swimming and running with his foster dad. Carter is a very smart boy, and a quick learner.
Carter is around 1.5 yrs old, and does well with kids. An active home would be great for him as he loves to play! He would do best in a home with a submissive female dog. Carter is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is available for adoption to homes in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and New England. |
Meet sweet Bentley! Bentley is an absolute love bug, happiest to be in your lap or by your side - he adores people and other dogs. He is a mellow guy and walks beautifully on leash.
Bentley is a 3 yr old, 55 lb pup with the most gorgeous eyes. He came to us with his sister Bella, who is 2 yrs old. They would love a home together, but understand if that is not possible. They are an awesome and fun-loving pair. Their previous owner had home-owners insurance issues due to the dogs breed. We know many companies that do not discriminate based on a dog's breed, but they were unable to change companies.

Bella
Meet beautiful Bella! Bella is a super fun loving lady, who has such a zest for life! She is always so excited, and seems to dance when she walks. she is always happy to meet new friends. This girl is a regular comedian and can keep you laughing for hours!
Bella is a 2 yr old, 65 lb happy go lucky female, who was surrendered along with her 3 yr old brother, Bentley. They would love a home together, but understand if that is not possible. Dixon-ADOPTED
Sweet baby Dixon is an adorable 3 month old Pit/Lab mix puppy. He was brought to a local pound when his owners could no longer care for him and we rescued him from there. He is lovable, playful and SO much fun. Puppies need time, love and training. He will be a large dog when full grown. Dixon will be neutered prior to going to his new home.

Drake
Drake is about 3 years old and 72 lbs. He was rescued from the NY AC&C where he had been surrendered by his owner who didn't have the time to care for him. Drake is one of the funniest boys you will ever meet! With his goofy antics, you would think Drake was a natural comedian! Drake does also have a special trick, which we call the "superman."
Drake enjoys running full speed, and jumping with his front feet straight out (in a superman pose) off of stairs, and even up them! Drake loves to cuddle and play with his toys. He is also crate trained, leash trained, and house trained. Drake would do best as an only pet.

Emma will be
2-1/2 years old next month and weighs 55 pounds. She is spayed and up to
date on her vaccinations. She enjoys sharing a couch with her special
person and is house trained and loves to run and frolic outdoors. Emma was originally rescued from poor conditions and abused as a puppy.
Somewhat shy and un-trusting when first rescued, she has grown to trust
and love her immediate family, showing affection for those in her immediate circle. Now comes the tough part-- Emma is in need of a new home, one where she can be the center of attention as the only pet.

Our VP received an e-mail about an abandoned dog (which we receive many of every day) living on a chain outside. Living on a foot chain, attached to ply-wood was something called a "dog house" with green water, and feces everywhere. Jax took one look at our VP and turned into a wiggly, excited boy. He couldn't control his happiness from having actual human attention! Of course, we unchained Jax and put him in our car and off to the vet he went! When Jax sees people he dances around and wiggles his body. The closer you get, the more he wiggles, it's a miracle his feet stay on the ground! Jax walks well on leash, and loves to give kisses!! |
Rocksis is pretty much the perfect dog, why do you think his name is
Rocks? Because he ROCKS! Rocksiss is one of the most mellow dogs I have
ever met, who wants nothing more than to cuddle in your lap. He is
happiest when he is being touched and loved. He walks beautifully on
leash, and does not require much exercise. Rocksis is around 5 years old
and 75 lbs.

Charlie
Charlie is a super sweet, almost 2 yr old, 58 lb boy who is looking for a forever home! Charlie is a total love bug and has the goofiest personality! Charlie loves to play with toys! He will roll on his back, with a toy in his mouth and bat his toy with his floppy puppy paws! Sadly, Charlie was adopted from us almost a year ago, but is now in need of a new home because the family babysitter is allergic to dogs. Charlie has the sweetest smile, with the most adorable ears that stick straight up. This little guy is full of energy and would love to run around in a big back yard!

Wobbles
Wobbles is about 2 years old and 60 pounds. He needs a new home because he lives with a family with several other dogs. Wobbles would like more time with his humans and to maybe share them with one other dog (he currently lives with several others). Wobbles gets along with everyone, including cats, and is very sweet.

Mama aka Charlotte
Mama a.k.a Charlotte is loyalty and courage in one compact Pit Bull package. This little lady may be missing part of her ear, but she is lacking nothing in the personality department. Her heart knows no limits. Her love is strong and true. She loves to sit in a lap and gives kisses. She has forgiven those who hurt her, even if we have not. Mama loves to give hugs, and do doggy yoga! Her favorite place to be is close to you. Mama is amazing when meeting new people, and just wants to say hello and kiss your face! If it were not for her very noticeable scars, you wouldn't even know this poor girl was so badly abused.
Mama is about 4 years old and she is a beautiful example of the breed we love. The true spirit of a Pit Bull. When we fight the stereotypes, the abuse and the neglect, we fight so dogs like Mama will never have to fight or be used as bait again. Despite her past as a bait dog, she likes other dogs and is great friends with our adoptable guy Koda. She does best with dogs her size.

Koda is a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old boy who loves EVERYONE he meets and is super friendly. Koda loves new human friends and other dogs and enjoys a good belly rub. Koda even smiles when he meets someone new! His whole body wiggles and wags with excitement. Koda is one of the happiest dogs we have ever met. He walks around with such a pep in his step, and his tail always wagging. He is a sweetheart, who just happens to also be deaf. He is very smart and already knows hand signals. Koda is 62lbs of love-bug. He would be a wonderful addition to your family.

This is Samantha. She is about 2 years old and weighs about 50 pounds.
Samantha was rescued from the euthanasia list at the Manhattan center
of the New York AC&C. Samantha's foster describes her as a pretty
girl who loves people. She walks beautifully on the leash, and is very
easy to handle. She is very affectionate, and a bit of a ham, poking you
with her nose for attention, and with a wag of her tail and a look that
says "more petting please". Sammi is a joy to be around, and she'd like
nothing more than to snuggle up with her special person on the couch.

What is there NOT to love about Princess? Just take one look at that
adorable smile and try to resist giving that face kisses! Princess LOVES
people and her whole body goes into wiggly convulsions when meeting
someone. Princess is also super playful with other dogs. Princess is
around 4 years old and 55 lbs of cute, with a perpetual smile on her
face! |

Ruby is white and tan, about 4 years old, and weighs 63 lbs. She has some
scars on her face, and looks like she was used for breeding. She, along with Orion, was
rescued from horrible conditions. She does fine with
other dogs, and lived with a larger male.
Ruby is another of the dogs that actually
SMILES (she might look like she is snarling, but she is actually HAPPY).
Ruby is very sweet and likes to be loved. She is strong so we would
recommend a home with older kids. She loves soft bedding and toys. |
